Wilderness doesn't take up too much of your time. If you decided to become a leader there is training and meetings about once a week. Most trips and trainings occur Saturday and Sundays. You can be as busy with wilderness as much as you want to. It's how much time you want to put into it and whether your going out climbing, kayaking ect. with others frequently or not.
